造型方面，E8是彻头彻尾的全新的造型设计。整个车头非常的富有冲击力，而且极具未来感。整体的车身是比较圆润，但是细节线条却是相当的凌厉。前脸部分采用了分体式大灯的设计，但是仅仅是日间行车灯的灯带就几乎是占据了整个车头，远近光灯则与段落式的中网连为一体。

E8搭载了电动侧滑门，并且开口大小也是相当的好，地台也不会太高，上下车也会较为方便。高配版本车型搭载的是一套18英寸的轮圈，匹配的是225-50/R18的佳通轮胎，而低配车型将会采用的是17英寸的轮圈。

车尾的造型设计相对来说就比较的简单了，一条贯穿式的灯带连logo也能够点亮，与车头logo相呼应。D柱则是采用了一个悬浮式的设计，视觉效果来说会更加的高级。
车身尺寸方面，E8介于传祺的E9和M6之间，长度4米92，轴距2米93，而它的车身宽度却要比E9更宽，高度却要比M6还要更矮。从视觉效果来说，整车会更加的宽大低趴，并且也能够拥有更加宽裕的车内乘坐空间。

车内空间方面，体验者身高1米72，座椅调到最低后头部空间远超两拳。当第二排腿部空间大概还有两拳左右，第三排的腿部空间也还有一拳四指到两拳之间，所以纵向空间是非常宽裕的，第三排同时乘坐三名成年人也没有一点压力。

而在储物空间方面，E8提供了32个储物格和非常多的小挂钩，完全满足日常使用需求。尤其像前排中控台上方左右两侧格有一个杯架，能够直接对着空调吹，夏天喝冷饮，冬天喝热饮都绝对没问题。

内饰设计部分，E8采用了简约化的设计风格。拓展式的中控运用了很多平直的线条，视觉效果很的宽大。仪表、中控屏幕的分辨率、清晰度、显示效果都是十分好。而且这个中控屏幕的功能也是很丰富，能够很好的满足现在年轻用户对于智能化方面的需求。中控马鞍的部分看起来很简洁，而且很有档次感，它只留下了像一键启动、电子挡杆以及手刹这三个物理按键，其余的把所有功能都是集成到了中控屏幕里面。
来到第二排，E8的第二排座椅支持横向移动，而且滑轨移动距离非常长，当你不要使用到第三排的时候，这台车就是空间极其宽裕的大四座车型。而且第二排座椅的填充非常柔软，舒适很高。头枕也是有护翼的设计，在休息的时候、睡觉的时候，它能够更好地承托住你的头部。然后第二排座椅两侧也布置了非常多的按键，内侧能调节靠背角度、腿部支撑以及腿托高度。而外侧的按键提供了小憩模式、零重力模式、座椅按摩还有一键复位的功能。

第三排的座椅舒适度不错，并且支持四六比例放倒，靠背可调的这种角度也是非常大，所以很容易能找到自己非常舒适的坐姿。另外，第三排两边也有两个手机充电口和四个杯架，所以说对于第三排乘客的照顾也十分周到。

新车搭载一套插电式的混动系统。采用的是一台2.0升的自然吸气发动机，上限功率103kW峰值扭矩180N·m，并且是能够正常的使用92号汽油的。匹配一台两挡的DHT混动专用的变速箱，而电池以及电机的部分和E9完全一样，驱动电机上限功率134kW峰值扭矩300N·m，电池为25.57度电的三元锂电池。官方宣称，这台车的零百加速时间为8.8s，百公里的电耗为18kWh，在CLTC标准下纯电续航达到150km，满油满电的综合续航则超过1200km。
